You are an activity

--

What most of us refer to as “I” or our self is an activity. Usually this activity consists of a constellation of repetitive or circular thoughts that has become so solidified, that we are no longer conscious of it.

Meditation (or psychedelics) can help us recognize that what we consider to be our self, is actually just something we are doing. And once we recognize that, we can stop doing it.

Why should we want that? Because when we do our self, life contracts.

The question is: who or what is it that remains once we stop doing our self?
