Thank you for reading Soir Bleu this week! Every Sunday I’ll try to recommend and comment on some of my reading, listening and watching from the week. If you have any feedback or comments for me, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
Reading

- The load bearing relationship (Palladium Magazine): How negotiations in relationships have changed over time
- 🇩🇪Was macht Stress mit dem Gehirn (Neue Zürcher Zeitung)
- 🇩🇪Niall Ferguson über Trump (Neue Zürcher Zeitung): the US election is a decision between empire and republic
Listening
- Lex Friedman — Bill Ackman: One of the most eloquent and successful investors on investing and the recent Harvard scandal
- Tim Ferriss — Cal Newport: Excellent podcast on slow productivity
- Relai Bitcoin Podcast — Jimmy Song: How Fiat money ruins everything
- All In Podcast: Covering NVIDIA earnings and Google’s AI disaster

Watching
- Oppenheimer: Finally got around to watching Oppenheimer. Another Christopher Nolan movie I watched with great expectations and ended up somewhat disappointed.
- Coup de chance: Woody Allen is still making movies with the same blueprint. But those looking for the charm and wit of his glory days will be disappointed.
- Priscilla: I’m a big Elvis fan and Priscilla’s family was stationed in my home town of Wiesbaden, Germany — plenty of reasons to watch. However like Woody Allen, Sophia Coppola seems to have lost her touch.
